His numerous victories against Britain, France, and the Barbary states established the U.S. Navy as a force to be reckoned with. Decatur’s career and life came to an end when he was killed in a duel with Commodore James Barron, after making remarks about Barron’s conduct in naval affairs.

Blends of coffee are not as high of quality, because they incorporate beans from different regions. This not only changes the taste of the coffee, but also the quality. While you may be paying a premium price, only 20% of the coffee in your bag may be premium. That’s why we pride ourselves on being a single origin coffee company.
Mycotoxins are metabolites that are produced by molds. Studies have shown that about ⅓ to ½ of all coffee produced contains some level of carcinogen-level toxins. Decatur Coffee has been tested and certified by Purdue University’s Food Science Labs to be toxin-free!
Although the name coffee beans may lead you to believe coffee beans are a vegetable, they are actually seeds. Coffee beans are the seed of a fruit, commonly referred to as the coffee cherry.
